| Palm Beach Aggregates, Inc., located on 4,400 acres in western Palm Beach County, Florida, is a multi-faceted company with on-going commercial operations in Construction Aggregates, Sugar Cane and Vegetable Farming, Sod Farming, Waste Wood Processing, and other operations including Hydro-Storage. | ||||||

PBA mines approximately 100 acres annually to a depth approaching forty (40) feet. Virtually 100% of the material mined is sold to the various construction trades in the local market. These include: Fill Material from the overburden removal, as well as the coarser, fines material from the washing plant; Coarse and Fine Aggregates for use in asphalt and cement concretes; and Limerock Base material for the local base and paving market. Additionally, a variety of specialty aggregates is produced for local construction markets. In year 2000, PBA produced approximately 3.6 million tons of Construction Aggregates, representing approximately 6% of Florida's aggregate production. At present rates of production, PBA has over thirty (30) years of proven reserves. |

Sugar Cane and Vegetable Farming PBA farms approximately 1,200 acres of Sugar Cane and Vegetables (primarily winter sweet corn). The sugar cane is processed in the local cooperative mill in which PBA is a shareholder. In addition, PBA leases 1,000 acres to a local sugar cane farm operator. |

PBA has approximately 484 acres planted in a variety of sod species, including: Floratam Palmetto, Zoysia, and Bermuda (Tifton 419). This sod that is sold throughout southeast Florida for homes, commercial use, and golf courses. |

PBA is a 75% shareholder in a commercial Wood Waste Processing facility located on 30 acres of fallow land. This facility has a long-term agreement with a local co-generation power facility whereby PBA receives vegetative wood waste from the local Solid Waste Authority, grinds and screens the waste, and then transports the resultant product to the co-generation facility. In addition, PBA is permitted to receive, process and land-apply stable droppings from the equestrian operations in the local area. |
